526 Waverley
- Former Palo Alto Sport Shop and Toy World

Palo Alto, CA

Randolph Popp Architect guided an award-winning façade renovation for this 1927 Birge Clark-designed building.

Using historical construction drawings sourced from the Birge Clark Archive at the Hoover Institute at Stanford University, the details and character of the original design were documented for replication. Local craftspeople who custom fabricated ironwork, windows and doors, and plaster relief supported the restoration of this elegant building. Special thanks to the team at Fireclay Tile for the beautiful hand-painted ceramic tile they produced for the project.
